Foxes Are Renown For Being Elusive And Unfriendly, Not Demonstrating A Love For Human Interaction. But Not Everything Is Necessarily As It Seems.

 Evolution is being proven not to take billions of years, not to take millions of years, not to takes 100s of thousands of years, not to take thousands of years and not even hundreds of years. In fact, four generations was sufficient to demonstrate a remarkable change in physical and behavioral characteristics. But not four generations in human terms, four generations in terms of breeding foxes. This translates into less than 10 years, in fact about half of that. 

Still, as the continued breeding experiment continued over a 60 year period, this case study conducted in Russia with foxes has demonstrated the concept of micro-evolution is really the only form of evolution that exists on Earth. The idea of bacteria turning into different kinds of creations at the  taxonomic biological level classified as Domain and evolving until they reach what are creatures classified as Family has not been evidenced in any one's lifetime, and neither is there any record in human history of this occurring. What there is evidence for is creatures classified as family changing into different forms of what is classified as Genus and Species.

Notice the classification of wolves, foxes, jackals and dogs as Family. Cats do not belong to the same family as dogs. They are a different kind of creature that have their own genetic code, so to speak. 

The experiment with foxes that took place in Russia, where foxes develop the physical and behavioral features commensurate with dogs.

What is also fascinating is the fact that in the Bible we read that God created everything after its kind, which is understood to mean "family" rather than "species" when talking about the taxonomical classifications. 

• So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:21 RSV)

• And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the cattle according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:25 RSV)

• On the very same day Noah and his sons, Shem and Ham and Japheth, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them entered the ark, they and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle according to their kinds, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth according to its kind, every bird according to its kind, every bird of every sort. They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath of life. (Genesis 7:13-15 RSV)

The classification of creatures or beasts according to their "kind" is equivalent to the classification of "Family" when it comes to the taxonomic biological classifications.

People protest against all the kinds of creatures being brought to live on the Ark of Noah for a year or so, but overlook that if these creatures were the young then what was would have been impossible because of the size, suddenly becomes possible.

Moreover, since all the creatures taken on to the Ark were only two of each KIND, that is FAMILY, then the many species that exist on the Earth today, or have existed since then prior to going extinct (e.g.: dodo bird), are comparable with what taxonomists classify as family, genus and species, even if the taxonomic tree is just a theoretical scale.

Even atheistic evolutionists cannot disagree that the human race came from one individual. The Bible informs us that this is the case, when the Apostle Paul was speaking to the Athenians:

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in shrines made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us, 28 for ‘In him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:24-28).

Our existing within the infinite God, who has no form, being spirit, makes sense and explains why the periods and boundaries of human habitation can be predetermined, even if we do not know what they are. Moreover, the Apostle says that God hopes that we might take it upon ourselves to feel after the One in Whom we live (as in grope in the darkness) and find Him. 

That God has a hope that people will seek Him out, somehow frightens many people claiming to be Christians. The reason could be that they like to think that God found them (as they are so much more special than, say, you) rather than they accidentally were fortuitous to encounter a belief system (or were born into a culture that contained a belief system) that pointed them to the Creator of Life. 

The Bible is a fascinating book. It is a compilation of many books. Yet it has one distinct purpose. The hope that mankind will endeavor to seek the truth and understand the plan and purpose of Creation.  

Humans are not like the animals. Instead, we have a capacity within to receive the Spirit of the Son of God, as is expressed in Revelation 3:20, where Jesus says, "Behold I stand at the door and knock. If any one opens up to me, I will come and sup with that person." 

We live and move and have our being in God. Does God move and live and have His being in us? This is the big question. 

Unless our thinking evolves to including truth as the mainstay of our belief system, then we will continue to build arguments for our belief systems that are nothing more than straw, or hay, or wood. Unable to withstand the firestorm of truth, we end up being burned by our own mistaken beliefs. 

Nobody is able to produce evidence of dogs turning into cats, but there is massive amounts of evidence that prove the original cat has been able to produce numerous species, just as the dog family has numerous species after its kind. 

Humans likewise have produced so many variations in shape, size, height, color, when it comes to bodily features, yet each one has a spirit that needs to become one with the Spirit of Christ, if eternal life is to be experienced. No other creature has a faculty with this capacity. No other creature has been given the ability to dominate the animal kingdom.  The fox experiment is testimony to this.

Moreover, no other creature has been bestowed with ability to receive or reject the Creator. This is the power we all have! Like the fox we can be elusive and unfriendly and seek to avoid not only human interaction but also interaction with the Lord God and the Savior of Mankind, Lord Jesus Christ.
